Travel agencies, as intermediaries in the tourist industry, have a great responsibility in reducing their environmental impact.
In February 2023, 360 Soluciones gave a training course to Locos Por Viajar(association of travel agencies that produce their own products) on the carbon footprint and sustainability measures applied to travel agencies and their activity, with the aim of raising awareness and training them on how to calculate and reduce their carbon footprint and improve their sustainability.
As a result of this initiative, we are pleased to announce that 360 Soluciones has begun to calculate the carbon footprint of 16 travel agencies that are part of the Locos Por Viajar group.
The measurement of the carbon footprint is the first step to identify the environmental impacts associated with the activity of a company, which allows establishing mitigation and emission reduction measures, allowing progress towards a more sustainable and responsible model.
Travel agencies that have decided to submit to this calculation of their carbon footprint are committed to sustainability and want to know their environmental impact accurately and objectively. The measurement will be made using the methodology established by the Ministry of Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, which guarantees the quality and transparency of the process.
